The Covid-19 crisis had a significant impact on educational practices world-wide. Millions of face-to-face courses were transformed for delivery at a distance. For many educators, this represented emergency remote teaching, a short-term, temporary solution. While the pandemic is still ongoing, learners and teachers have returned to the physical classrooms. It is time to define the next steps. This special issue explores trends and proposals for the future of transpandemic education.
