The aim of this work is to understand how Cognitive Neuroscience (NC) can contribute to improving the teaching-learning process in Distance Education (EaD), in Higher Education (HE). After a bibliographical research, in different scientific databases, we found that there is a lack of research that addresses the intersection between NC and EaD. We highlight, therefore, the need for a deeper understanding for the higher level.
